Description The proposed thesis aims to analyze and develop a total cost of ownership (TCO) model of electrified passenger vehicles and other segments in the European market. The study will focus on different levels of vehicle electrification, including hybrid, plug-in hybrid and battery electric vehicles. A model will be created to take into account the costs of components, retail price as well as other relevant factors. The objective is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the TCO of these technologies to assist OEMs in making strategic decisions on their electrification efforts. The study will also provide insight into the potential benefits of different electrification levels, such as emissions reduction and cost savings for customers. The goal is to provide a clear understanding of the costs and benefits associated with different vehicle electrification technologies, to support the transition towards a more sustainable transportation sector in Europe.
