Thesis type MASTER THESIS
Description This thesis aims to investigate new methodologies for estimating spatially distributed extreme precipitation design values through stochastic processes of the type Max-Stable.
A review of the methods is available at https://sites.stat.washington.edu/peter/PASI/Docs/paper2.pdf.
The student's propensity/availability for programming is required. The R numerical software will be used (https://www.r-project.org/), in particular the package SpatialExtremes (https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/SpatialExtremes/index.html).
Required skills Hydrology. Statistics.
