Description The thesis identifies optimization criteria of the type and quantity of structural reinforcement (e.g. reinforced plasters, CAM, FRP) among the structural elements of masonry or reinforced concrete buildings. The optimization is aimed at maximizing the effectiveness of reinforcement with a minimization of the cost by means of evolutionary artificial intelligence algorithms (e.g. genetic algorithms). It is expected to interface FE analysis tools (OpenSees) with management and data analysis tools (Matlab).
