Geomatics for precision agricolture, segmentation and automatic individual tree detection in orchards

Description In the realm of instance segmentation for individual tree detection (ITD), the aim is to assess existing methods and algorithms applied to point clouds (PC) of orchards and tree stands dedicated to agricultural production. PC are derived from photogrammetric and terrestrial LiDAR surveys. The project spans the entire spectrum of integrated geomatic survey, encompassing data collection, processing, harmonization, and culminating in the application and evaluation of diverse algorithms. Moreover, there is the possibility to enrich the work by pioneering a novel method.
