The admission requirements are the following:
1. Academic performanceStudents will attend in-presence all ASP teaching activities for academic year 2022/23. All in-presence ASP teaching activities for academic year 2022/23 will be possibly guaranteed or adapted to the situation depending on the evolution of the COVID-19 health emergency.
For Italian university graduates
- A Bachelor’s degree granting admission to a Master's degree programme at PoliTo. Students must have earned their Bachelor’s degree on a standard timeline (3 years). Students, who do not have the graduation requirement within the application deadline, will be admitted under condition and they will have to obtain it within December 2022. In case of non-achievement, they will not be admitted to Alta Scuola Politecnica.
- A minimum weighted average grade of Bachelor’s exams equal to or greater than 27.00/30 (calculated on all Bachelor’s exam grades):
Weighted average grade: exam grades multiplied by course credits
(Grade1 x Credits1) + (Grade2 x Credits2) + … + (Grade n x Credits n)
(Credits 1 + Credits 2 +… + Credits n)
For non-Italian university graduates
- A Bachelor’s degree - awarded by an accredited foreign university obtained after at least 15 years of previous education (primary and secondary plus university). Students with “equivalent academic qualification” are those enrolled in a foreign university in 5 or 6-year - i.e. single cycle degree combined Bachelor and Master program - who have not graduated yet but meet the minimum requirement of 15 years of global schooling (minimum 3 years at University level) and have acquired at least 180 ECTS credits or equivalent (pre-university or preparatory years are not counted in the achieved credits or years) granting admission to a Master's degree programme at PoliTo in first semester of academic year 2022/23 in compliance with the deadlines for enrolment in Master's degree programmes (see the Student Guide 2022/23);
- Valid GRE® General Test (5 years since the test date) passed by the candidate before the application deadline. Minimum scores in each test section (applicants must have reached the minimum score in at least one of the three test sections):
- Verbal Reasoning: 156
- Quantitative Reasoning: 157
- Analytical Writing: 3.5
2. English language certificate (B2 Level)
IELTS certificate (International English Language Testing System) – minimum score: 5.5
Certificates accepted or exemptions in substitution for IELTS minimum score: 5.5
Cases of exemption- IB Diploma (International Baccalaureate https://www.ibo.org/programmes/diploma-programme/ ) only in case the entire path is taught in English, except foreign languages;
- Titles awarded by the European schools included in the Procedures for entry, residency and enrolment of international students and the respective recognition of qualifications, for higher education courses in Italy - Attachment 2*, only if the first language (L1) is English;
- Non-Italian qualification recognized by the Italian Ministry of University and Research as equivalent to the Italian high school diploma (diploma di maturità), or university degree awarded by a school/university in which the medium of instruction is English and issued by USA, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, wherever the school/ university is located;
- Non-Italian qualification recognized by the Italian Ministry of University and Research as equivalent to the Italian high school diploma (diploma di maturità), or university degree awarded by a school/university in which the medium of instruction is English, only if based in one of the countries listed in Attachment A.
