Students who already have or acquire internationally recognised foreign language certifications can obtain the credits required by the Curriculum of their degree programme by contacting their Office of Student Services.
The following tables show the certificates that are automatically accepted by Politecnico, and their equivalences (when applicable).
ENGLISH

For students who first enrol in a Bachelor’s degree programme starting from a.y. 2019/20 onwards: Politecnico di Torino recognizes the English exam credits if they have one of the following certificates and scores (corresponding to a B2 English language level)

During a transitional period Politecnico di Torino will assess knowledge of English (B2 level) taking into consideration the table “Certificates accepted or exemptions in substitution for IELTS at Politecnico di Torino - a.y. 2018/19” for the following categories:
  • students who first enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree programme at Politecnico di Torino up to a.y. 2018/19: the transitional period will last until a.y. 2020/21 (if they graduate by December 2021);
  • students with an Italian Bachelor’s degree  who apply for admission to a  Master’s degree programme:  the transitional period will last until a.y. 2021/22 included;
  • students with a non-Italian Bachelor’s degree who apply for admission to a  Master’s degree programme:  the transitional period will last untily. 2019/20 included;
  • incoming mobility students participating in a Double degree programme who apply for admission to a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree programme: the transitional period will last until a.y. 2019/20 included;
  • students who apply for admission to a programme for which the knowledge of English is an admission requirement  (i.e., English-taught programmes, …)
