Free choice credits
Optional courses are courses you can choose from the curriculum of your degree programme. They are called “free choice credits”.  
During your first year  you can choose one optional course from the catalogue of FREE CHOICE CREDITS – FIRST YEAR, provided that you meet some specific requirements. If you do not meet the requirements to choose an optional course in first year (and for all students in general), you have following options:         
  • two optional courses (6 CFU each) from the catalogue of Free Choice Credits – 3rd year         
  • an internship (12 CFU -  if provided for by your degree programme)     
  • a combination of various learning activities (3 CFU each)       
  • a combination of optional courses (6 CFU), training activities (3 CFU), internship (if provided for by your degree programme)
More information (rules on how to include an internship in your Personal Study Plan, how to begin the process for an internship and obtain the recognition of your internship credits) is available in the curriculum of your degree programme and on the website of the Office of Career Services.
