All students must pass an English language exam (B2 level or higher) in order to earn their Bachelor’s degree (graduation requirement).
During a
transitional period, Politecnico di Torino accepts the IELTS 5.0 certificate or the certificates listed in the
tableCertificates accepted or exemptions in substitution for IELTS at Politecnico di Torino – transitional as a way to assess a student’s knowledge of English (B2 level).
The transitional period will last until a.y. 2020/21 (for students who are going to graduate by December 2021).
This table of certificates is also applicable to students with an Italian Bachelor’s degree who enrol in a Master’s degree programme up to a.y. 2021/22.
The same transitional rules are also valid for incoming mobility students participating in a Double degree programme who apply for admission to a Master’s degree programme (admission requirement). In this case, the transitional period will last up to a.y. 2019/20 included.
The English language course is part of your Personal Study Plan / Annual Personal Study Plan.
If you have one of the certificates and scores (corresponding the B2 level) listed in the above-mentioned table you will be awarded the credits of the English language exam without having to take it.
If you do not have an English language certificate, you can choose to take the IELTS exam at Politecnico di Torino.
