Interruption of studies occurs when you do not re-enrol in the new academic year.
When you interrupt your studies, you cannot:
- attend classes
- take exams
- apply for an internal transfer to another Bachelor’s degree programme
- apply for a transfer out to another university
- get any financial aid or student benefits
- request a suspension of studies
- perform any operation for your academic progress.
You can resume your studies after an interruption only if you
haven’t forfeited (Forfeiture – art. 15 -
Student Regulations). Make sure you carefully read this document.
If you want to return to Politecnico after one or more years of interruption, first of all, you need to pay your outstanding debts deriving from your last year of enrolment plus a fee (€ 100.00) for each year in which you were not enrolled at Politecnico.
To resume your studies: log in to your personal page of the Teaching Portal – Online services tab – Create your Personal Study Plan/ Annual Personal Study Plan and enrol in the new academic year portlet.
The system will automatically display the amount of money that you have to pay (including your outstanding debts and the fee for the academic years of interruption, as provided for in the Tuition Fee Guide 2020/2021). After paying this amount, you will be able to create your new Personal Study Plan and Annual Personal Study Plan.
The deadlines for resuming your studies at Politecnico depend on the enrolment workload you want to choose (part-time or full-time enrolment, Annual Personal Study Plan with new courses or with old courses). If at the end of this process you do not enrol at Politecnico, you will have to pay an administrative fee of € 100.00(administrative fee).
