Credit transfer
If you already have a Bachelor’s degree and you want to request the evaluation of your previous academic records for admission to a Bachelor’s degree programme at Politecnico, check on the Apply@polito platform if you need to take the admission test or if you are exempted from taking it. This depends on the type of degree you have got.
If you have a university degree included among those listed in Annex D to the Call for applications for admissions to the Bachelor’s degree programmes of the Engineering area, you are exempted from taking the admission test. 
If you don't have a degree included in the list of Annex D, you need to register for the admission test before the deadlines illustrated in the Call for applications admissions to the Bachelor’s degree programme of the Engineering area.
The admission test is compulsory for the Bachelor's degree programme in Industrial Production Engineering.  
  • If you have a Bachelor’s degree awarded by Politecnico di Torino, you need to apply for admission from the Apply@polito portlet, available on your personal page of the Teaching Portal – Online Services TAB (use your old Polito student ID number).
  • If you have a Bachelor’s degree awarded by another Italian university, you need to apply for admission from the Apply@polito platform, available on the website of Politecnico. You need to enter the details of your previous academic studies.
Procedure
You must submit your credit transfer application by Friday 23/09/2022.
1.  Submit your application
If you have to take the admission test
    • log in to the Apply@polito platform and register for the admission test;
    • enter the information on your Bachelor's studies (enter information about each exam, number of credits and scientific disciplinary field) and upload the syllabus of each course;
    • upload a scanned copy of your English language certificate, if you have one (your certificate will be checked when you enrol online);
    • select 5 different Bachelor’s degree programmes and rank them in order of preference. This order can be changed in accordance with the provisions of the Call for applications for admissions to the Bachelor’s degree programmes for a.y. 2022/23;
    • confirm your data and submit your application.
  • If you are exempted from taking the admission test
    • log in to the Apply@polito platform;
    • enter the information on your Bachelor's studies (enter information about each exam, number of credits and scientific disciplinary field) and upload the syllabus of each course;
    • upload a scanned copy of your English language certificate, if you have one (your certificate will be checked when you enrol online); select the Bachelor's degree programme you want to enrol in.
    • confirm your data and submit your application. You are required to pay a fee (100 €) for the evaluation of your previous academic records. This fee will be deducted from your tuition fees when you enrol at Politecnico but cannot be refunded if you eventually decide not to enrol at Politecnico.

2. Reserve your place
  • Only if have to take the admission test
    • if you pass the admission test and you are on the ranking list, confirm that you actually want to enrol at Politecnico from your Apply@polito personal page by paying the first instalment of your tuition fees in accordance with the deadlines and procedures illustrated on your Apply@polito personal page.
3. Wait for the evaluation
  • Your previous academic records are sent to the Teaching Committee of your future degree programme who decides if Politecnico can recognize your previous credits. 
    • Informal evaluations of your previous academic records are not possible.
  • Check the result of this evaluation in the section named Valutazioni/Evaluations, available on your Apply personal page and accept or reject your credit transfer resolution. You have time until the day you enrol. You will NO longer be able to modify your choice after enrolment.
4. Enrol
  • enrol online by using the link on your Apply@polito personal page, under the Evaluations section; the enrolment deadline is 11th October 2022.
  • at the end of this procedure, you will automatically get your student ID number (matricola) and log-in credentials.

5. Create your Personal Study Plan / Annual Personal Study Plan
Create your Personal Study Plan / Annual Personal Study Plan within 10 days of the date of enrolment.
If you are transferring to a Bachelor’s degree programme of the Engineering area (except for Industrial Production Engineering) you can include your second and third-year courses (if validated) in your APSP: 
  • if you have been recognized at least 26 credits in first-year subjects (excluding the English language exam)
                 or
  • if you have been recognized 40 credits in any subject (excluding the English language exam).
In any case, you must include your first-year incomplete courses (with exam still pending) before adding any new course. 
Recognition of previously earned credits 
You can request credit transfer (i.e., recognition of the credits you have earned during previous academic studies) if:
  • you have withdrawn from Politecnico di Torino or from another university; or
  • if you have been declared forfeited by another university
Students requesting credit transfer have to check admission requirements on Call for applications for admissions to the Bachelor’s degree programmes and need or exemption for taking the admission test.
If you are a:
  • forfeited student at Politecnico di Torino; or
  • forfeiting student at Politecnico di Torino

Procedure
1.  Submit your application
Make sure you apply for admission to the Bachelor's degree programme you are interested in before the deadlines and in accordance with the specific procedures.
Follow these steps to request credit transfer:
  • if you have studied at another university:
    • register on the Apply@polito platform;
    • enter the information on your previous academic studies;
    • upload the course syllabus of each exam that you have successfully passed;
    • specify the degree programme you would like to enrol in from your Apply@polito page - "Select degree programme" section;
    • confirm your data and submit your application.
  • if you have studied at PoliTO: 
    • log in to the Apply@polito platform using your old student ID number (lo into your personal page of the Teaching Portal);
    • specify the degree programme you would like to enrol in from your Apply@polito page - "Select degree programme" section;
    • confirm your data and submit your application.
2. Wait for the evaluation
  • Your previous academic records are sent to the Teaching Committee of your future degree programme who decides if Politecnico can recognize your previous credits. 
    • Informal evaluations of your previous academic records are not possible 
  • Check the result of the evaluation in the section named Valutazioni/Evaluations, available on your Apply personal page;
  • accept or rejectyour credit transfer resolution within 30 working days;
  • Only  if you have studied at another university:
    • If you accept the result of the evaluation of your previous academic records, you must pay 150.00€ of fixed fee + 16€ for each credit that has been recognized. After you pay, Politecnico will update your records and no further changes will be possible after that moment.
    • Please note that you are required to earn at least 60 credits (including the Final Project credits) at Politecnico in order to get your Bachelor’s degree.
3. Enrol
  • enrol online by using the link on your Apply@polito personal page, under the Evaluations section; the enrolment deadline is 11th October 2022;
