When you create your new APSP in September, you must inlcude all your second-year courses (pay attention to the order in which you rank them). Your second-year courses will be considered as “overbooking courses” (marked in red) until you earn the required number of credits in your core subjects.
If you need to take an optional course from the Grandi Sfide catalogue (scheduled in the second semester of your second year), you must include the generic module in your APSP (even if it is marked as overbooking). This way you will be able to participate in the course allocations.
If you manage to pass your core subjects by the end of the Winter examination session, your Annual Personal Study Plan will be automatically updated in accordance with the following rules:
  • Mathematical Analysis 2 will be included in your APSP if you pass Mathematical Analysis 1. Students will be able to watch the video lessons;
  • Physics 2 will be included in your APSP if you pass Physic 1 and reach 40 credits globally (only for degree programmes that provide such course). Students will be able to watch the video lessons.
  • first-semester courses of your second year that are marked as "courses that can be advanced" in the course catalogue of the degree programme.
  • second-semester courses of your second year.
These courses will flow into your Annual Personal Study Plan following the same order in which you ranked them when you created your APSP and until they reach the maximum credit limit imposed by the workload you have chosen (part-time or full-time enrolment).
Please note:
  • exams passed during the Winter examination session will not be removed from your APSP. Your APSP will only be updated with your second-year exams following the order in which you ranked them.
  • if you earn the required number of credits in your core subjects during the Summer examination session, your APS will not be updated with your second-year exams.
We suggest you carefully read the rules for the creation of the Annual Personal Study Plan available in the previous chapters of this Guide and the guidelines provided in the curriculum of your Bachelor's degree programme.
If you have a part-time workload, you can change your APSP from part-time to full-time by 29th March 2024.
 Updating your APSP for an Internal Transfer
If you manage to reach the required credit threshold in your core subjects by the end of the Winter examination session of your second year (January-February 2024 Examination session), you can transfer to another Bachelor’s degree programme for the next academic year. You can ask the Student Careers Unit to include the second-semester courses of your new degree programme in your APSP (please send a ticket using the Ticketing Support System available on your personal page of the Teaching Portal).
This operation is not possible for the students that wish to transfer to the Bachelor’s degree programme in Computer Engineering or to the Bachelor’s degree programme in Aerospace Engineering.  Internal transfers to these two programmes are regulated by a specific Call for applications and we cannot ensure that all applicants will be able to complete the internal transfer successfully
We remind you that you must comply with the pre-requisites and the APSP maximum credit limit. You must also include Mathematical Analysis 2 and Physics 2 if you meet the above-mentioned requirements.
Please note that:
1) you remain formally enrolled in your current Bachelor’s degree programme for this academic year;
2) you must submit your internal transfer application for a.y. 2024/2025 in accordance with the rules and deadlines that will be communicated at a later stage.
NEWLY-ENROLLED STUDENTS IN A.Y. 2023/24 WHO MUST FULFILL THE SUPPLEMENTARY ACADEMIC OBLIGATIONS - OBBLIGHI FORMATIVI AGGIUNTIVI (OFA)
If - by the end of Year 1 - you earn the number of credits required to add your second-year courses to your Annual Personal Study Plan, but you have not fulfilled your OFA, you will be allowed to include your second- year courses in your APSP, but you will not be able to take the exams until you fulfil your OFA. For more information, please check the specific chapter.
