Registering for the Final Examination
To apply for graduation you must meet the following requirements:
- you must have passed all the graded and ungraded exams included in your Personal Study Plan, including the English (or other language exams included in your PSP if provided. e.g Italian exam)(*)
- if the curriculum of your degree programme includes an internship, your internship must be recorded in your transcript (**)
- you must be regularly enrolled for the current academic year;
- your Annual Personal Study Plan must include the Final Project module;
- you must have paid your tuition fees in full;
- you must not have any unreturned book borrowed from the library;
- you must not have any pending disciplinary sanction imposing a temporary exclusion from Politecnico with restriction of further academic progress.
(*) Please carefully check the Thematic calendar - Graduation periods to learn about the last IELTS session which allows you to receive the results in a good time to register for the Graduation period you are interested in.
(**) The internship can be recorded in your transcript even after the "Deadline for passing all the exams" but not after the Deadline for Final Examination Registration.
To take the Final Examination you must register online before the deadlines illustrated in the thematic calendar - Graduation periods section.
PLEASE NOTE:if some of your exams have not been recorded in your transcript yet or if you have other problems connected with the end of a mobility project, you will have to register with condition for the Final Examination before the deadlines for Final Examination registration. Important: you cannot register with condition if you have not passed the English language exam.
You will receive an email confirming your registration with condition (your registration for the Final Examination can be considered successfully completed).

There is no specific deadline for dropping the provisional condition and it is the Student Careers Unit's responsibility to do it.
How to register for the Final Examination (online registration only):
- fill out the AlmaLaurea online questionnaire available at www.almalaurea.it.
- submit your registration application (from your personal page of the Teaching Portal - Online services TAB - Degree and Final Examination section - click "Register for the Final Examination") before the deadlines illustrated in the thematic calendar;
- pay the amount indicated by the system at the end of the procedure (including outstanding debts and revenue stamps (see the Tuition Fees Guide a.y. 2024/25). If you graduate in February, you will be required to pay the second instalment of your tuition fees. You will be required to pay the second instalment also if you graduate in December and have enrolled in a.y. 2024/25.
- to complete your registration for the Final Examination, after paying, click the CONTINUE button
Upon successful completion of the registration process, you will receive a confirmation message in your Polito mailbox.

When and where do I need to submit my portfolio?
The portfolio must be sumbitted online in PDF format in the "Graduation and final examination" portlet in the "Online Services" TAB by clicking on "Access portfolio delivery", by the deadline shown in the Thematic calendar - Degree exam sessions.
