The Bachelor's degree programme in Environmental and Land Engineering has the following strengths:

The Bachelor's degree programme in Environmental and Land Engineering is designed to train a professional engineer with a multidisciplinary culture and specific knowledge and skills related to works, systems and processes in the environment and territory.

The BSc offers solid specialized basis for the implementation and management of interventions in the following fields:
  • Land recovery after landslides, due to either natural events or human activities,
  • Land protection from natural risks (landslides, floods, seismic, volcanoes),
  • Containment and control of polluting emissions as part of the environmental impact mitigation,
  • Treatment of drinking water, wastewater and gaseous emissions, 
  • Reclamation of polluted sites.
The BSc in Environmental and Land Engineering provides also skills related to:
  • Analysis and characterization of the subsurface (solid matrix and groundwater) by means of lab tests and field surveys (geotechnical, geophysical and hydrological measures), 
  • Evaluation of risks related to natural events and human activities,
  • Environmental impact assessment of construction works and infrastructures,
  • Risk analysis of accidents of environmental relevance,
  • Development of environmental management, security and monitoring systems of the quantification of such impacts,
  • Prevention and control of hydrogeological risk, Monitoring of territory evolution.
All students follow the same core programme, with no specific orientation or elective curriculum. The programme aims at providing engineers with the ability to understand the impact of engineering solutions applied to environment and territory in a social and physical-environmental context, providing the necessary cognitive tools so that graduates can continuously update their knowledge and play an active role in the process of technological innovation.   

The programme ends with a final exam concerning a project, which is carried out individually by the student, and preparation of the relative dissertation.
