Course overview

Electrical engineering has its roots here at PoliTO: in 1889 Galileo Ferraris founded the School of Electrotechnics in Turin, the first in Italy, and his name is among the leading scientists of the time such as Nikola Tesla and George Westinghouse.
The Master’s degree programme in Electrical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino currently ranks second in Italy and forty-third in the world according to the QS World University Rankings.
If you want to become an electrical engineer, you are in the right place: graduates' satisfaction is very high, 99% would enrol at Politecnico again.
You will be at the forefront of the most important challenges that our society has to tackle for the energy transition. Energy and environmental sustainability will require an increasing use of renewable sources, greater efficiency and electrification of industrial processes and the conversion to electric mobility.
These are the issues and challenges of today and tomorrow to make the world a greener place, increasingly independent from fossil fuels, where electrical engineers will be the protagonists.
