ADMISSIONS A.Y. 2018/2019
English language certificate You are required to have an English language certificate - IELTS 5.0 or other certificate accepted in substitution for IELTS - in order to be admitted to a Master’s degree programme at Politecnico di Torino.
Please note that the Master’s degree programme in Automotive Engineering - Ingegneria dell’Autoveicolo requires an IELTS 5.5 certificate or other certificate accepted in substitution for IELTS 5.5.
Politecnico needs to verify the results of your certificate. If you have an IELTS or Cambridge certificate, you do not need to upload a scanned copy of your certificate since the system will ask you to enter the codes for an automatic verification.
If you have an English certificate other than IELTS or Cambridge you must upload a scanned copy of your certificate and show your original (hard copy) to the Office of Student Services on the day of the appointment for the delivery of your smart card.
If you do not meet the language requirements by the deadline for enrolment (i.e., you do not have an IELTS certificate or other certificate accepted in substitution for IELTS), you can decide to enrol in single courses. In this case you should choose to enrol in the first-semester courses of the first year of the Master’s degree programme for which you have been “denied admission”.
As soon as you obtain your English language certificate, you will be able to enrol in your chosen Master’s degree programme (in first semester of a.y. 2018/2019). The courses you have already attended will be automatically validated.
More information is available in the Student Guide 2018/2019 of your programme - "Single courses" section.
If you do not manage to get your English language certificate before 29th march 2019, you will not be allowed to enrol in your chosen Master’s degree programme for a.y. 2018/19. Your enrolment in single courses (exclusively first-semester courses which are already included in your APSP) will remain valid for a.y. 2018/19 until the end of the autumn examination session.
