Applicants from Politecnico di Torino
Admissions a.y. 2022/23
English language certificate
Applicants must have an English language certificate (B2 level), as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
For the purposes of obtaining an English language certificate (B2 level)*, reference is made to the table of certificate or exemptions accepted in substitution for the IELTS 5.5.
Having a B2 English language certifates (IELTS 5.5) is a mandatory requirement for admission to all Master's degree programmes.

In order to submit your  application, you must enter the data of your English language certificate. If you do not have it, you can still apply for admission but you will have to presnet an English language certificate before the deadline for online enrolment.

The University reserves itself the right to check a sample of at least 5% of students by requesting the presentation of the original documentation to verify the certificate authenticity with the Certifing Boards.
If you do not meet the language requirement by the enrolment deadline for 1st semester, you can enrol in Single courses by choosing your first-semester courses of the 1st year of the Master's degree programme for which you have been denied admission for not having the required English language certificate.
By enrolling in single courses, you will be able to take the IELTS exam at Politecnico during the specific sessions organized by the University Language Centre (the exam fee is lower compared to taking the IELTS exam outside the university).
As soon as  you get your English language certificate, you will be able to enrol in your Master's degree programme (deadline: 28 February 2023). The exams that you will have passed by this deadline will be automatically validated by Politecnico. You are not allowed to add any first-semester course that you had not included in your Study Plan upon enrolment.
Cases of exemption
PLEASE NOTE: you can see your language certificates (obtained through the CLA and/or outside Politecnico) on your personal page of the Teaching Portal - Apply@polito portlet. This information is available under your personal data. Admission decisions are not based on the date of your language certificate but only on your language level.
N.B. A passing grade in the English language exam organized by the University Language Centre in academic year 2019/20 during the Covid19 emergency (registered under your personal information as LANGUAGE DECLARATION FOR COVID-19) DOES NOT qualify you for admission to a Master's degree programme.
