cim - Competence Center manufacturing 4.0
The competence center Competence Industry Manufacturing 4.0 (CIM 4.0) intends to be a strategic and operative support to the manufacturing enterprises oriented on the digitization of the industrial processes in the perspective of a Industy 4.0 (from design to production, from R&D to Supply chain, from security to Blockchain). Thanks to its industrial partners (23 large companies) and to two big research centres with a technical and scientific expertise (Politecnico di Torino and Università di Torino), the Competence Center will be provided with five “pilot lines”, by which the technological growth of the innovative processes and products will be supported providing to the enterprises (especially SME) a structure capable of simplifying and making more competitive the new markets’ approach.

a) n. 1 CAD/CAE Designer for Additive Manufacturing
b) n.2 Additive Manufacturing Process Engineer
a) n. 1 CAD/CAE Designer for Additive Manufacturing
Requirements:
Master degree in mechanical engineering
Main activities:
  • product design and engineering based on technical specifications for additive manufacturing
  • generative design
  • reverse engineering
  • topology optimization
Hard skills:
  • good knowledge of CAD/CAE tecnologies
  • good knowledge of Additive Manufacturing technologies and materials
  • good knowledge of English
Soft skills:
  • team working
  • problem solving
b) n.2 Additive Manufaturing Process Engineer
Requirements:
  • master degree in mechanical engineering
Main activities:
  • build preparation for metal additive manufacturing
  • process simulation- operational management of 3d printers and metallic powders
Hard skills:
  • good knowledge of Additive Manufacturing technologies and materials
  • good knowledge of software for data preparation (Materialise Magics)
  • knowledge of mechanical post processes
  • good knowledge of English
Soft skills:
  • team working
  • problem solving
Selection process:
Competence Industry Manufacturing 4.0 will select the Master’s candidate through both motivational and technical assessments. 
The first assessment session will be held by technical experts of the Additive Manufacturing Department, whereas the second one will be held by the CEO.
