IRIS
IRIS is a solid Italian entrepreneurial reality, based in Torino, which operates in the field of innovation and technological research. Founded in 2012, today it boasts a team of highly specialized professionals.
IRIS, in recent years, has developed a path of growth in two parallel directions:
- Process technology development: IRIS carries out the design of industrial applications of laser technology, with particular attention to additive manufacturing
- Design of solutions related to environmental sustainability: thanks to the expertise acquired in the plasma sector, IRIS has developed innovative solutions efficient and sustainable modular systems on small and medium scale with multiple areas of application (water, waste, energy, wood supply chain, ...) which aim to create a circular economy capable of cutting costs, limiting consumption, generating less emissions and is attentive to the recovery of materials and the environment.
IRIS is a member of MESAP, the regional innovation centre for mechatronics and advanced production systems and is an active part of a network which includes the most important national and international research institutes for the topics of technological innovation linked to the applications of laser and plasma technology.

Job description:Engineer in charge of technological development, laser processing and additive manufacturing applications to be included in the technological development team to deal with both design and experimentation activities. 
  • Entry level: Employee
  • Requirements:
    • knowledge of laser technology
    • good preparation in mechatronics
    • ability in mechanical design systems, preferably SolidWorks
    • ability to plan, set up and perform experimental tests, with autonomy, practical sense and responsibility
    • analysis and synthesis skills in the context of technological development
    • strong orientation to problem solving
    • good knowledge of mechanical technologies
    The profile is completed by the ability to work in a team, good relationship skills, time and stress management.
Selection process: IRIS will select the Master’s candidate through both motivational and technical assessments. The first assessment session will be held by the Function Human Resources, whereas the second one will be held by technical experts of the Additive Manufacturing department.
