Davide Poggi is Full Professor in Hydraulic Design and Hydropower Plants and Renewable Energy Resources at Politecnico di Torino. He graduated with honors in Civil Engineering in 1998 and obtained his Ph.D. in Hydraulic Engineering in 2003. His research focuses on fluid dynamics, fluid-structure interaction, hydraulic constructions, energy production from renewable sources (Mini-Hydro, Wave Energy, etc), hydrology, boundary-layer meteorology, transport and diffusion of scalar particles, numeric and experimental hydraulics.

In the 2nd level Specializing Master's programme in Climate Change: adaptation and mitigation solutions he will lecture Renewables in the course Climate Change Mitigation.
