Courses are activated upon the achievement of the minimum threshold of 30 students. The maximum threshold admitted for this course is 150 students, with the exception of particular cases as indicated in the notes. In case such threshold is exceeded, places will be allocated according to a ranking list. Students who included the course in their plan of study but who are excluded by the allocation, will be contacted to modify their plan of study. Such obligation usually does not apply to courses indicated as 'mutuati' (aggregated to other existing courses). Students can replace an optional course (6 CFU) with a 6 internship's credits (that can be extended to 16 CFU: only 6 of them can be considered as a minimum requirement for graduation). It is also possible to include in the Study plan, in addition to the optional courses, a 10 internship's credits taking the opportunity of adding 10 additional credits to the minimum required. In any case, the internship can be included in the Study plan only by the Responsible of the Study course. Initially the student will have to include in the Study plan an optional course, with the possibility to postpone to the third year the inclusion of the optional course selected on the first year. In order to include the internship in the Study plan, the student shall have contacted already the host company and have acquired at least 130 CFU.

Substitute for 1st year free choice credits

Courses are activated upon the achievement of the minimum threshold of 30 students. The maximum threshold admitted for this course is 150 students, with the exception of particular cases as indicated in the notes. In case such threshold is exceeded, places will be allocated according to a ranking list. Students who included the course in their plan of study but who are excluded by the allocation, will be contacted to modify their plan of study. Such obligation usually does not apply to courses indicated as 'mutuati' (aggregated to other existing courses). Courses addressing issues of general interest in the field of engineering, and offered by Degree courses belonging to the Industrial, Building and Mathematical for Engineering Area, are cross-referenced to various Courses of Study.
