The figure of the researcher has become more complex. In addition to knowing how to conduct research and publish the results of their efforts in scientific papers, the researcher must also have project management skills, which include knowing how to identify European, national and regional funding and how to write project proposals in response to such calls. The current 2021-2027 European programme offers considerable opportunities for the researcher who wishes to obtain more funds to finance his or her own research. Although only an introduction, this course aims to help PhD students develop certain project management skills, i.e. searching for funding opportunities, analysing the main elements and requirements of the calls, and preparing a project proposal.
