The course will introduce the foundations of haptics, discussing haptic perception, rendering, and interaction through interdisciplinary contributions encompassing the domains of psychology, neuroscience, engineering, robotics, ergonomics, design.
The course will introduce the foundations of haptics, discussing haptic perception, rendering, and interaction through interdisciplinary contributions encompassing the domains of psychology, neuroscience, engineering, robotics, ergonomics, design.
The students should have no particular knowledge of haptics. However, basic concepts on neurophysiology and/or interaction technologies could be helpful. The exercise will require basic knowledge of programming with MATLAB/Octave.
