PERIOD: FEBRUARY The course aims to introduce the use of biomolecules for the realization of innovative devices, sensors and computing systems. It starts with an introduction to biosensors, their interfaces and with a description of biomolecules (DNA, RNA and proteins in particular), with the target to understand their use in micro and nano electronic devices. Further analysis of bio-nano-sensor construction techniques and their use in some application examples will be done. Finally, the use of biomolecules for the realization of computational architectures will be described with some specific lectures about the use of biomolecules for building memristor devices.

Exam:
In addition to the message sent by the online system, students with disabilities or Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) are invited to directly inform the professor in charge of the course about the special arrangements for the exam that have been agreed with the Special Needs Unit. The professor has to be informed at least one week before the beginning of the examination session in order to provide students with the most suitable arrangements for each specific type of exam.
