PERIOD: JUNE -JULY The course illustrates the methodologies and principles to model and simulate systems to solve problems in organizations, engineering and management. It provides participants with knowledge to understand the complexity of engineering and management systems, archetypical behaviours of complex systems, measurement metrics, and policy making tools for system control. Case studies and applications are in the fields of technology diffusion, operations management, supply chain management, logistics and project management. In particolar, the System Dynamics and Agent-Based modelling methodologies are given togeter with the software packages needed to simulate complex systems (e.g.: Vensim, NetLogo, AnyLogic, etc.). A project work is developed to model and simulate a system with reference to the participant’s specific vertical domain of research.

Modalità di esame:
Exam:
...
Exam:
In addition to the message sent by the online system, students with disabilities or Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) are invited to directly inform the professor in charge of the course about the special arrangements for the exam that have been agreed with the Special Needs Unit. The professor has to be informed at least one week before the beginning of the examination session in order to provide students with the most suitable arrangements for each specific type of exam.
