Le regole del Tirocinio sono disponibili al seguente indirizzo: http://stagejob.polito.it/studenti/lm_ingegneria_gestionale
The curricular internship is a not compulsory formative activity, required by the law, that allows the student to acquire a more concrete vision of the processes that develop in the real organizations, to establish a first contact with the logics and the business dynamics and, contemporarily, to develop a period of practical training.
? The internship can be activated only after the acquisition of at least 48 CFU and can be carried out at any time of the year, in Italy or abroad. Abroad, it can be done in the same way as the internship in Italy, or by participating in the Erasmus + Placement Traineeship call. In both cases, the company must be identified and contacted by the student. ? The internship can be added directly by the student during the definition of the study plan. Outside this period, it is possible to enter it without tax increases. In this case you should contact the Segreteria, in person or through the "Ticketing" assistance service from the student's personal page. ? The curricular internship of the master degree is associated with at least 14 credits (CFU), of which 8 to replace a course indicated by the Educational commission of the Collegio among those of the second year second semester, and the others using the additional credits that can be loaded over the required 120 CFU. The 14 credits correspond to 350 hours of work in the host institution. Each additional credit is associated with 25 hours of training. It is possible to extend the number of credits and therefore of hours, in the case of interest from the company and the future trainee. The total number of credits must be indicated by activating the procedure and not modified later. Furthermore, it cannot exceed the maximum number of credits available, defined by the Segreteria before the activation of the internship. ? The host institution can be a company, but also a public or private entity, a cooperative or an association. The host institution cannot be a University. It's not allowed to do an internship in a company owned by a family member. ? There is no provision for the recognition of a work activity already performed. The working student, who wants to carry out the internship in his own company, must contact the person in charge of the internship procedures of the Collegio Prof. Salassa to tirocini.digep@polito.it to check whether it is possible to activate the internship. ? At the end of the internship, the student must prepare a report on the carried out activity, which must be countersigned by the company tutor. Content and structure of the report are indicated by the academic tutor who, once having ascertained the adequacy of the relationship, proceeds to register the internship.

Information relating to the IT procedure that allows the presentation of the training project and tracks its progress until its conclusion, can be found at the following link: https://didattica.polito.it/pdf/Procedura_Lato_Studente.pdf (in Italian) Other information related to the internship can be consulted in the institutional form of the Collegio di Ingegneria Gestionale (in Italian). Events to meet with companies, to get to know the companies and evaluate offers for internships, are included in the editions of TIME FOR JOB. The information regarding the possibilities to participate is available at the link of Career service (https://careerservice.polito.it). Extending the duration of your internship (valid for Master?s degree programmes only) Internships have a given duration (hours) and provide a certain number of credits as specified in the Annual Personal Study Plan. You can extend the duration of your internship (number of hours) by selecting one of the options available in the field ?Expected no. of hours?. You can only do this operation before the beginning of your internship and not while you are doing it. In any case, you cannot do more than 900 hours (maximum amount of hours may vary for each study course). Any request to extend the duration of an internship must be decided together with the Host Company. It MUST also be approved by a Polito faculty member (your Academic Tutor or the Internship Coordinator for your degree programme) who may reject your proposal. In this case, you need to make a new proposal and fill out a new Progetto Formativo. If your Progetto Formativo is approved, it means that the extension of your internship and the extra hours have been accepted too. At the end of an internship with extended duration, you will see that the internship is recorded in your transcript as follows: INTERNSHIP with standard hours/credits in accordance with the rules of your degree programme (i.e., 6 credits/ 150 hours) plus the annotation ?curricular internship extension? with your extra hours/credits. These credits will be recorded in your transcript as credit overload (they do not count towards the 120-credit threshold required for Master?s graduation) Referent Professor Fabio Salassa
