Si può svolgere un tirocinio da 6 CFU, pari a 150 ore di attività. I tirocini possono essere svolti presso enti pubblici o privati quali ad esempio: studi professionali di ingegneria e architettura, società di progettazione, imprese di costruzione, amministrazioni pubbliche, società concessionarie (di trasporti o altre utilities), università e centri di ricerca. Il tirocinio può essere svolto in Italia o all’estero. Il o la legale rappresentante dell’ente ospitante e il o la tutor aziendale non devono avere vincoli di parentela con il o la tirocinante.

Durante lo svolgimento del tirocinio si dovrà informare il o la tutor accademica dell’andamento del tirocinio stesso in relazione al contenuto del progetto formativo. Nel caso in cui il tirocinio venga effettuato dopo aver ha fatto la richiesta tesi, il o la tutor accademica non può essere il o la relatrice della tesi. Se il tirocinio e la tesi sono svolti in collaborazione con lo stesso soggetto ospitante, si dovrà concludere il tirocinio prima di fare domanda per la tesi. Alla fine del tirocinio si dovrà caricare sul portale, contestualmente al timesheet, una relazione sulla attività svolta firmata dal o dalla tutor aziendale. In tale relazione, minimo 20 pagine ogni 6 CFU, l'attività dovrà essere descritta nel dettaglio presentando, quando possibile, calcoli, rilievi, disegni, computi, progetti, etc. Estensione di tirocinio: il tirocinio per il corso di studio prevede le ore e crediti indicati nel carico didattico. Si ha la possibilità (solo in fase di avvio del progetto formativo e non durante lo svolgimento dello stesso) di aumentare il numero di ore di durata del tirocinio selezionando una delle opzioni visibili nella sezione “ORE PREVISTE” compilando il progetto formativo. In ogni caso non è possibile superare le 900 ore (numero ore massimo variabile a seconda del cds). Tale richiesta deve essere concordata preventivamente con l’azienda/studio professionale/ente e DOVRA’ essere confermata dal o dalla docente di riferimento (chi svolge il ruolo di referente o tutor), che potrà rifiutare un progetto formativo proposto. In quel caso sarà necessario concordare una nuova proposta di tirocinio e compilare un nuovo progetto formativo. Se si vedrà il progetto formativo approvato si avrà la conferma che anche l’eventuale pacchetto di ore aggiuntive sarà stato acquisito. Alla conclusione di un tirocinio con estensione approvata verrà registrato quanto segue: TIROCINIO corrispondente ai crediti/ore previsti dal cds (es. 6 crediti /150 ore) più l’indicazione “ESTENSIONE TIROCINIO CURRICOLARE” con i crediti/ore aggiuntivi. Questi crediti saranno supplementari rispetto ai 120 previsti dal percorso di LM. I crediti extra forniscono un piccolo bonus sul voto si laurea (massimo 1 punto su 110). If the teacher agrees, he becomes the academic tutor. During the internship, the student must inform the academic tutor about the progress of the internship in relation to the training project. In the event that the internship is carried out after having sent the thesis request, the academic tutor cannot be the thesis supervisor. If the internship and the thesis are carried out in collaboration with the same subject, the internship must be concluded before applying for the thesis. At the end of the internship, the student will have to upload on the portal, together with the timesheet, a report on the activity carried out signed by the company tutor. In this report, at least 20 pages for every 6 credits, the activity must be described in detail (i.e. by presenting calculations, surveys, drawings, calculations, projects, etc). Extending the duration of your internship: internships have a given duration (hours) and provide a certain number of credits as specified in the Annual Personal Study Plan. You can extend the duration of your internship (number of hours) by selecting one of the options available in the field “Expected no. of hours”. You can only do this operation before the beginning of your internship and not while you are doing it. Any request to extend the duration of an internship must be decided together with the Host Company. It MUST also be approved by a Polito faculty member (your Academic Tutor or the Internship Coordinator for your degree program) who may reject your proposal. In this case, you need to make a new proposal and fill out a new Progetto Formativo. If your Progetto Formativo is approved, it means that the extension of your internship and the extra hours have been accepted too. At the end of an internship with extended duration, you will see that the internship is recorded in your transcript as follows: INTERNSHIP with standard hours/credits in accordance with the rules of your degree programme (i.e., 6 credits/ 150 hours) plus the annotation “curricular internship extension” with your extra hours/credits. These credits will be recorded in your transcript as credit overload (they do not count towards the 120-credit threshold required for Master’s graduation).
