Presentazione
The course aims at providing a basic panoramic overview on normatives ISO 9001/2008 and ISO 9004/2008 regarding the quality management systems in industrial environments. Basic notions on how to organize and manage an industrial quality system and its logistic will be presented.

Risultati di apprendimento attesi
The adoption of a quality management system should be a strategic decision of an organization. The design and implementation of an organization's quality management system is influenced by a) its organizational environment, changes in that environment, and the risks associated with that environment; its varying needs; its particular objectives; the products it provides; the processes it employs; its size and organizational structure. A correct use of the process approach in the development, implementation and improvement of the effectiveness of a quality management system, aims to enhance the customer satisfaction by providing products that meet customer needs and applicable or statutory requirements. The general principles and the quantitative methods to deploy and manage industrial quality systems and the logistic of the productive systems will be explained and analyzed.

Prerequisiti / Conoscenze pregresse
No specific requirements or pre-requisites are necessary. The prospective of failing the exam will not affect the possibility of attending the second year courses.

Programma
The following topics on quality and logistics will be deeply investigated:
basic concepts on quality; certification; PDCA cycle (Plan-Do-Check-Act); management principles and operative implementation techniques; product responsibility; CE labelling; classification of the operative systems; concept of logistic function; planning and production control; resources requirements; materials handling and safety stocks management; production priorities; operative systems reliability; industrial plants maintenance; productive models (Manufacturing Resourses Planning, Work In Process and Just In Time). |
Organizzazione dell'insegnamento
Some practical case studies will be evaluated and solved by the students under the teacher’s supervision. No practical labs are forecasted.
