The recent developments in the electrical sector and the increasing interactions among the energy and economic sectors call for developing specific techniques and tools for the electrical load modelling, management, forecasting and control. The course deals with various applications to the residential, industrial and tertiary sectors, and to the aggregated load at different levels. Various techniques related to the electrical load analysis and conditioning are illustrated and applied to load classification for tariff purposes, load forecasting, load control, load management during emergency, and demand conditioning during the electrical system restoration. All the course activities will be in English.

The course activities will be held in the underground computer laboratory of the Energy Department (Dipartimento Energia, northern side – Electrical Engineering).

Note that for the acquisition of the credits it is necessary to pass the final test, that will be held on Friday 21 September 2012 in the morning.
