Presentazione
With this course the students improve their knowledge on the materials used in Mechanical Industries. The properties of sintered materials, stainless steels, titanium alloys, light and heavy alloys (Mg, Al and Cu), tool steels, deep drawing steels.
Risultati di apprendimento attesi
The concepts on corrosion and corrosion resistance are introduced as well as the properties and technologies of surface coating.
Prerequisiti / Conoscenze pregresse
The concepts on corrosion and corrosion resistance are introduced as well as the properties and technologies of surface coating, an introduction to less common engineering materials and an in deep knowledge on more traditional materials.
The students have to acquire the ability to understand and know the problem concerning the engineering materials choose, together with making judgements.
