Con l’obiettivo di rintracciare alcuni dei fili rossi che hanno caratterizzato la ricerca e la riflessione teorica svolta negli ambiti della tecnologia dell’architettura, il corso si propone di presentare alcune ricerche condotte negli ultimi anni come occasione per un più ampio confronto sulla evoluzione delle tematiche disciplinari e sui rapporti che esse intrattengono con i temi e le culture del progetto.
Il ruolo e i contributi della tecnologia alle diverse scale e in diversi ambiti (dal riconoscimento dei caratteri dell’esistente, al recupero del costruito, al progetto del nuovo), le interazioni possibili e spesso necessarie con altri ambiti scientifici, l’efficacia della ricerca, e di quella applicata in modo particolare, nel trasferimento dei suoi esiti, potranno costituire, in questa direzione, altrettanti argomenti di discussione.
I singoli temi di ricerca verranno osservati, in prima istanza, a partire da un loro inquadramento all’interno di un ambito più vasto di studi, per scendere poi nel merito dei contenuti specifici e degli strumenti concettuali e operativi di volta in volta utilizzati.

With the aim of tracing a few key themes that have characterized recent research and theoretical thinking in the sector of architectural technology, the course proposes to present a number of studies carried out in the last several years as the opportunity for a broader comparison on the evolution of the disciplinary aspects and their relationships with the themes and culture of the project.
The role and contribution of technology to different scales and in different spheres (from the recognition of the characteristics of existing work, to the recovery of the building heritage, to the project for new construction), the possible and often necessary interactions with other scientific sectors, the effectiveness of research, and especially applied research, in the transfer of the outcomes, may all contribute, in this direction, numerous topics for discussion.
The individual themes of research will be observed, in the first instance, starting from their framing within a vaster sector of study, to focus then on the merits of the specific content and conceptual/operating instruments used in each case.

Programma del corso

Il corso sarà strutturato attraverso lezioni teoriche tenute dai docenti e da invitati esterni e prevederà lo svolgimento da parte degli studenti di una attività di ricerca e di approfondimento bibliografico.

The course will be structured through theoretical lessons held by the professors and guests, and will required the students to complete an activity of research and study of the bibliographic background.
