Subject fundamentals
"Final Project " aim is to test student’s ability in facing autonomously any technical/scientific problem and expounding performed activities in a strong technical comparison.
Procedures: Students, within the deadlines set in the Student’s Guide (Manifesto degli Studi)*, need to login on their personal page on the "portale della Didattica"/student portal under the section named "Request for Final Project" (under didactic workload) and follow the instructions a) Students who have already contacted a Teacher for the final test: indicate teacher’s name and topic. If the Final Project Committee does not approve the choice, the student will be assigned a new Tutor. b) Students who are part of a "team" (Formula SAE, H2politO, etc.) and want to apply for a thesis about team activities: indicate the name of the team, the topic you are working on and the name of the Tutor, previously decided with the ACADEMIC Team Leader. The Committee needs a confirmation by e-mail from the Academic Team Leader. c) Students who ask the Committee a final test topic: the Committee indicates a Final Project Tutor and the student will be asked to arrange a topic with the Tutor. The final report must be sent to the Tutor leaving a PDF file on the website shared disk in the student portal. Once the final project is finished and approved, the Tutor signals, through the given procedure, the completion of the work. This indication, together with the passing of all exams, allows the student to hand in the final exam application form within the deadlines published in the Student’s Guide (Manifesto degli Studi)* Then, a schedule of the thesis defences will be made. The committee will evaluate the work done and decide a mark. The public proclamation of the graduates will be scheduled by the University. * The schedule of graduation sessions, deadlines for passing the exams and for submission of the final exam application form are published in the Student’s Guide for each degree course.
