Presentazione
PERIODO: FEBBRAIO - GIUGNO 2016
The course is meant to give the theoretical basis needed to understand nonequilibrium physical phenomena, deriving the standard fluctuation-dissipation relations, linear response theory, and the modern results concerning fluctuations of observables in nonequilibrium systems. These results are of particular interest in the study of systems in conditions far away from equilibrium, and in the modern bio- and nano-technology. |

Tentatively, classes will be on Mondays (10am - 1pm) and Wednesdays (2:30pm - 5:30pm). However, other options can be considered; the first class will be used in part to fix the schedule of the other classes, according to the needs of the enrolled students. Interested PhD students who cannot attend the first class are invited to write Prof. Rondoni: lamberto.rondoni@polito.it |
