Presentazione
PERIODO: FEBBRAIO - MARZO
The aim of the course is to explore how the project, including both social projects and construction projects, has been ‘invented’ in the history of China. The main focus is on the relationship between social governance and spatial transformation at historical turnover points, from late imperial China to today. The role of the project, how the projects are carried out, what the result of certain projects is, etc. will be discussed through studies that hybrid vernacular and typo-morphological analysis inspired by historical anthropology methodology. The course is intended as independent and tailored on students’ interests for the connection between design and the social construction of space throughout history; some knowledges of China’s practice and Asian studies are helpful. |
