PERIOD: MAY
Urban landscape is a concept difficult to define, a challenge for several disciplines, but it has gained a role in international policies, so calling for a specific definition of technical activities. The course will explore trends and methods related to the two concepts ‘urban scenery’ and ‘urban ecosystem’, which both contribute to the understanding of urban landscape. Examples taken from the emerging practices at international level, with particular attention for planning tools, will be provided. The course is addressed to planners, designers, and assessment experts.
In the Academic Year 2018/2019 the invited external expert will be Dr. Akiko Iida from The University of Tokyo, who will contribute on urban green infrastructures, rural-urban interface.

In addition to the message sent by the online system, students with disabilities or Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) are invited to directly inform the professor in charge of the course about the special arrangements for the exam that have been agreed with the Special Needs Unit. The professor has to be informed at least one week before the beginning of the examination session in order to provide students with the most suitable arrangements for each specific type of exam.
