PERIOD: MARCH - MAY The course aims to give the basic notions on classical and quantum field theory, propaedeutic to the theoretical study of high energy fundamental interactions (QED, Standard Model of particle interactions).

- Elements of Special Relativity and relativistic dynamics. - Elements of classical field theory in Hamiltonian and Lagrangian formalism. - Gauge theories - Basics of the theory of Lie groups and algebras (rotations and Poincaré groups), tensor calculus and their application to field-theory representations. - Relativistic formulation of classical electrodynamics - Quantization of bosonic and fermionic fields .

Exam:
In addition to the message sent by the online system, students with disabilities or Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) are invited to directly inform the professor in charge of the course about the special arrangements for the exam that have been agreed with the Special Needs Unit.
