PERIOD: MAY - JUNE
The course is aimed at the construction of a commonly shared knowledge about the description, interpretation, critics, history and historiography of architecture and the city, in view of the predisposition of a scientific research project and, namely, of the PhD thesis. It is now quite frequent that graduate students, interested in the theory and/or history of architecture and the city, in most cases, have not acquired the ability to locate, read, interprets and write on events, actors, objects of the past as well as the present. At the end of the course, each student will be required to submit a written work, consisting of an annotated bibliography on a topic chosen during the course, as well as a hypothesis of research, elaborated with adequate archival and bibliographical references.
