PERIOD: FEBRUARY - MARCH The course has the objective of providing general knowledge on innovation and product design and development processes. The course mainly associates a managerial perspective, aimed at making the doctoral student capable of understanding the innovation process, to the more traditional perspective on design methods. It also provides indications on the main current research questions and on the work being carried out by researchers in the field.

The course is essentially made of two parts: a former part that gives the foundation for managing innovative processes and a latter part that focuses on product development and design processes. Exam:
In addition to the message sent by the online system, students with disabilities or Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) are invited to directly inform the professor in charge of the course about the special arrangements for the exam that have been agreed with the Special Needs Unit. The professor has to be informed at least one week before the beginning of the examination session in order to provide students with the most suitable arrangements for each specific type of exam.
