Aim of the course is to introduce the main physical principles related to nuclear, particle physics and relativistic nuclear astrophysics. The course is divided into two sections: in the first one, the basics of nuclear interaction and particle physics are revised; in the second one, some topics related to the physics of compact stars are discussed in details.

Basic concepts on quantum and statistical mechanics
