The course aims at providing the PhD students with the skills necessary to compute the nonlinear forced response of mechanical components with contact interfaces. Due to the nonlinearity of the periodic contact forces, the dynamic behavior becomes nonlinear and the modeling and solution techniques typical of the linear dynamics are no more valid.
