The course will be organized each year and deals with power electronic systems used in distributed generation of electrical energy using the following distributed power sources: wind generators, photovoltaic panels, fuel cells, gas micro-turbines and micro-hydro generators. The power electronic topologies and their control will be analyzed. International standards for the connection of power will be presented. The course will also present the concept of virtual synchronous machine applied to the control of grid following or grid forming power converters.
