The course aims at describing efficient and robust numerical methods for solving systems of nonlinear equations, also focusing on large scale problems. Fast converging methods will be considered (with superlinear and quadratic convergence rate), as well as globalization strategies, needed for ensuring convergence for a wide set of starting points. As far as large scale problems are concerned, we will introduce suitable iterative methods for solving the linear systems generated.
