PERIOD: JANUARY - MAY Introductory course on the theoretical physics of fully ionized plasmas. Concepts that are of particular relevance to the treatment of complex multi-body systems will be developed, such as the discussion of collective phenomena and the correspondence between microscopic and macroscopic processes. Applications are numerous, among these: controlled thermonuclear fusion and space physics.
Classical Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Calculus II
