A. Amor-Martin will explain the basics of Computational Electromagnetics applied for the Finite Element Methods. Specifically, he will cover the very basics concepts for the full-wave solution of Maxwell’s equations and show how mathematical tools such as the Method of Manufactured Solutions can be used to debug in-house codes. Also, he will show the basis functions needed for the approximation of electric and magnetic fields in a Finite Element framework, and some techniques to truncate the domain when solving open problems. Finally, he will show some advances in Domain Decomposition Methods and how the Method of Manufactured Solutions can be used to debug the formulation and housekeeping of this technique.
