PERIOD: SEPTEMBER - OCTOBER
Aim of the course is to provide a deep knowledge in the field of additive manufacturing (AM) processes based on directed energy deposition (DED) techniques with specific reference to processes and materials. DED processes will be analysed on the basis of a practical perspective: theoretical knowledge will be tuned with experimental practice in the laboratory (c/o IAM@PoliTo Interdepartmental Centre) which will involve the use of a DED system. The potentialities and limitations of DED technologies as well as the reasons behind their growing interest in various industrial sectors will also be analysed.

In addition to the message sent by the online system, students with disabilities or Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) are invited to directly inform the professor in charge of the course about the special arrangements for the exam that have been agreed with the Special Needs Unit. The professor has to be informed at least one week before the beginning of the examination session in order to provide students with the most suitable arrangements for each specific type of exam.
