The course introduces quantum mechanics from a mathematical and a physical point of view, from superposition principle up to recent applications that characterize the “second quantum revolution”
Elementary linear algebra
Two-slit experiment and superposition principle. Hilbert spaces and quantum states. Self-adjoint operators and quantum observables. Schroedinger’s equation. Spectral theorem and Stone theorem. Bell inequalities. Elements of Quantum Computing. Grover’s Algorithm, Quantum cryptography, quantum teleportation.
