L’obiettivo del corso è di approfondire gli aspetti relativi al danneggiamento delle strutture causato dalla corrosione degli elementi in calcestruzzo armato e calcestruzzo armato precompresso. In particolare verranno descritti i meccanismi di danneggiamento e la loro evoluzione con i risvolti dal punto di vista strutturale in termini di comportamento in esercizio e in condizione ultima. Verranno presentati alcuni casi studio e riguarderanno edifici e ponti. L’attenzione infine verrà rivolta alle indicazioni normative attuali, alle indagini e ai modelli strutturali per opere esistenti danneggiate dalla corrosione.
The aim of the course is to deepen the aspects related to the deterioration of reinforced and prestressed concrete elements caused by corrosion. In particular, damage mechanisms will be described together with their evolution with attention to the structural behavior in service and at ultimate conditions. Some case studies on buildings and bridges will be analyzed. Finally, the focus will be address to the present codes, inspections and structural models for existing structures damaged by corrosion.
