Periodo: Maggio-Settembre.
The course introduces the LEAN approach, a strong point of the Toyota production system and the subject of study by numerous researchers from around the world. The training proposal has some relevant characteristics:
1. Traces the history of Western research on the LEAN approach from its origins to the most recent results.
2. Explains LEAN techniques (from 5S to one-piece flow) but delves into the “hidden” concepts of LEAN.
3. Use a didactic approach based on experimentation, collaboration and coaching.
The LEAN approach is a very useful engineering tool but it is also a working and management method (see Marie Kondo, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, Ten Speed Press-Berkeley, 2014), an organizational proposal oriented towards sustainability and, finally, a method of studying the processes.
The course has the ambitious goal of providing work tools for engineering but also a systemic key to the processes and a teaching methodology. Period May-September
