The course will focus on advanced techniques for Digital Testing of Electronics Systems, with special emphasis given to functional methodologies for embedded systems. This field is undergoing a deep transformation driven by both traditional drivers, such as miniaturization and scaling, and new elements, such as the strict quality, safety, and security requirements imposed by the Automotive industries and crystallized in standards like the ISO26262. Doctorate students will learn the basic concepts demanded to test engineers working for electronic manufacturing companies. Students will also practice with commercial and free tools to solve challenging tasks by means of practical examples. The exam will consist of a report of a practical assignment selected among the topics covered by the lessons.
