Il tirocinio permette di verificare e completare gli insegnamenti teorici e metodologici ricevuti durante il percorso di studi attraverso il confronto concreto con il mondo del lavoro e con i professionisti del settore. Il tirocinio è obbligatorio e corrisponde a 350 ore di attività, pari a 14 Crediti Formativi. Può essere svolto presso le aziende (o enti pubblici, enti privati, cooperative, associazioni) proposte annualmente dal Coordinamento Stage oppure in una realtà professionale individuata da chi intende svolgere il tirocinio, che contatta almeno un mese prima dell’inizio del tirocinio, e il cui convenzionamento verrà avviato previa verifica da parte del Coordinamento Stage della congruenza dell’Azienda con i settori scientifici del corso di studi, della coerenza con gli obiettivi formativi e i profili professionali previsti in relazione alle caratteristiche dell'azienda. Le realtà professionali, di esclusivo interesse per il Corso di Laurea in Design e Comunicazione, sono oltre 400, collocate in particolare sul territorio regionale, ma anche nazionale ed internazionale.
The internship is mandatory and corresponds to 350 hours of activity, equal to 14 CFU. Internships can be carried out in companies (or public authority, private organizations, cooperatives, associations) annually suggested by the Coordination of Internships or in a company indicated by the student. The future intern must contact the company at least one month before the beginning of the internship and then It will be necessary to stipulate an official agreement between the chosen company and Politecnico di Torino. The recognition of this agreement is under the jurisdiction the "Coordinamento Stage", who will verify If it is suitable for all the scientific areas of the study plan and eligible with the educational aims and the required professional profiles based on the features of the company. The companies exclusively linked with Design and Comunicazione Visiva are more than 400; most of them are placed in Piedmont, but you can find many of them also all over Italy and abroad.
ITALIANO Per poter accedere al tirocinio si deve aver già concluso la frequenza dei corsi e conseguito almeno 100 CFU. Il periodo istituzionale per lo svolgimento del tirocinio è pertanto maggio/giugno, al termine quindi del percorso formativo del 3° anno; tuttavia coloro che hanno già concluso la frequenza dei corsi e conseguito i 100CFU, possono, previo accordo con il Coordinamento Stage, svolgerlo anche in periodi diversi dell’anno accademico. ENGLISH To start the internship, students must have already completed the course and obtained at least 100 CFU. ITALIANO PROCEDURE DI AVVIO E SVOLGIMENTO DEL TIROCINIO CURRICULARE Durante l’anno accademico il Coordinamento Stage del Corso di Studi incontra tutti i soggetti interessati a svolgere il tirocinio (che dovranno svolgere il Tirocinio nell’anno accademico in corso), presenta loro il significato dello stage nella loro carriera universitaria e professionale, le modalità di svolgimento, il ruolo dei Tutor e i possibili ambiti professionali di inserimento di chi svolge il tirocinio. Successivamente vengono rese disponibili alla popolazione studentesca, tramite la sezione Materiali del portale della didattica le proposte di tirocinio disponibili con informazioni dettagliate sull’azienda e sullo stage specifico. NOTE PER LO SVOLGIMENTO DEL TIROCINIO ALL’ESTERO Qualora il soggetto desideri svolgere un tirocinio all’estero, si consiglia di attivarsi con un po’ di anticipo rispetto al periodo istituzionale di svolgimento perché le procedure di convenzionamento potrebbero richiedere più tempo e potrebbe essere necessario produrre documentazione aggiuntiva (es. visa…). Chi intende svolgere il tirocinio dovrà verificare autonomamente quali documenti sono richiesti in base alla nazione dove vuole recarsi, mentre per le procedure amministrative potrà fare riferimento al link a seguire (https://www.polito.it/en/education/applying-studying-graduating/internships-and-thesis/curricular-internship-abroad). Infine, in caso di tirocinio in Europa è possibile partecipare al Bando annuale di concorso Erasmus + for Traineeship. ASSEGNAZIONE DEI TIROCINI Nell’apposita riunione di assegnazione, circa dieci giorni dopo l’invio dell’elenco delle aziende disponibili e un mese prima dell’inizio effettivo dello stage, avviene l’assegnazione effettiva per ogni studente secondo criteri meritocratici e le preferenze espresse. Ad ogni studente è assegnato un punteggio calcolato moltiplicando il numero di crediti di ciascun esame superato per il voto ottenuto (per gli esami superati ai quali non è attribuito un voto si considera il voto medio degli esami superati per i quali invece è stato attribuito un voto). La somma di tali prodotti verrà divisa per il numero di semestri utili per gli esami a partire dalla prima immatricolazione. Si precisa che ai crediti degli esami superati in mobilità oggetto di autocertificazione verrà corrisposta una valutazione in trentesimi pari alla media ponderata degli esami già registrati in carriera. Man mano che vengono effettuate le assegnazioni, la Commissione indica ai singoli soggetti chi ha funzione di Tutor Accademico per ciascuno stage, sulla base delle sue preferenze, dell’attinenza disciplinare rispetto allo stage in questione e a un’equa distribuzione rispetto al corpo docente. Alla fase di abbinamento, segue il contatto da parte di chi intende svolgere il tirocinio e l’azienda assegnata in modo da svolgere il colloquio conoscitivo e avere la risposta definitiva da parte dell’azienda in merito all’avvio del tirocinio. In caso di colloquio con esito positivo, si procede con la compilazione del Progetto Formativo sul proprio portale, obbligatoria per l’avvio del tirocinio; la procedura online manderà notifica per l’approvazione prima da parte del o della tutor aziendale e poi del o della tutor accademica. In caso di colloquio con esito negativo, si dovrà contattare il Coordinamento Stage del Corso di Studi (tirocini.design@polito.it) con la lista delle nuove possibili aziende in cui vorrebbe andare in ordine di priorità. AVVIO DELLE ATTIVITÀ Il libretto di tirocinio (timesheet) è da compilare online nella sezione STAGE, all’interno del progetto formativo. MONITORAGGIO DELLE ATTIVITÀ Durante lo svolgimento del tirocinio sono previsti momenti di scambio e/o d’incontro tra Tutor Accademico, il Tutor Aziendale e Tirocinante, finalizzati a verificare l’andamento del tirocinio, i risultati conseguiti e le difficoltà incontrate. Nel caso in cui lo si debba interrompere il tirocinio va data immediata comunicazione al Coordinamento Stage, al o alla Tutor Accademica e all’Ufficio competente che valutano le misure da adottare. CONCLUSIONE DELLO STAGE e REGISTRAZIONE Per poter registrare il Tirocinio e acquisirne i crediti relativi, al termine del tirocinio si deve, prima di tutto: • compilare on-line il "Questionario di Valutazione Finale" (si trova nella sezione di compilazione del timesheet, oppure anche nella sezione di upload allegati di fine tirocinio); • far compilare al o alla Tutor Aziendale il "Questionario Competenze Progetto Formativo" cliccando sul link che riceverà via mail un paio di settimane prima della data di fine indicata; • redigere Book/Portfolio e Relazione sull'attività svolta, secondo il formato indicato di seguito, e caricarlo online nella sezione di upload allegati di fine tirocinio (la sezione compare quando il timesheet viene dichiarato concluso); • caricare online copia del Libretto di tirocinio definitivo nella sezione di upload allegati di fine tirocinio e inviarlo in approvazione al tutor aziendale. BOOK/Portfolio e RELAZIONE Il BOOK (formato A4 orizzontale) deve descrivere l’esperienza professionale del tirocinio attraverso la presentazione di disegni/immagini/didascalie. Un diario di bordo o un portfolio delle attività svolte progettato liberamente sia nei contenuti che nel linguaggio visivo. Tutelando la privacy dell'azienda/ente/studio non è interessante far vedere e valutare i lavori svolti quanto piuttosto le attività nelle quali siete stati coinvolti e le competenze acquisite, non dimenticando che il progetto è costituito anche da riunioni con i clienti o in team di progetto, da fasi di ricerca, ma anche di questioni gestionali del processo. Il documento deve diventare un elemento da allegare al vostro cv e al portfolio professionale. La RELAZIONE invece deve descrivere in forma testuale il vostro periodo di stage articolandola nei seguenti paragrafi: • "Copertina", con i dati e indicazione di dove e quando lo studente ha svolto il tirocinio; • "Dove", breve presentazione dell'azienda/ente/studio, raccontando (in min 500 battute) il core business e la struttura della società che ha ospitato il tirocinio; • "Attività svolte", breve descrizione (anche per punti) delle attività svolte durante il tirocinio (min. 500 battute); • "Mansioni e compiti", un breve racconto sulle mansioni e i compiti assegnati, eventuali attrezzature messe a disposizione o uso di mezzi propri (min. 500 battute); • "Conoscenze", quali competenze e conoscenze acquisite nel corso di laurea avete utilizzato durante il tirocinio (min. 500 battute); • "Cosa ho imparato": cosa si è imparato in questo periodo formativo includendo sia attività professionali, metodologiche, pratiche, ecc. ma, anche quelle comportamentali e gestionali (min. 500 battute). La referente dei tirocini (Prof.ssa Silvia Barbero) provvede a fissare periodicamente durante l’anno accademico appelli delle date dove viene formalizzata la registrazione del Tirocinio, in occasione del quale si compilerà un'ulteriore survey. ENGLISH COURSE STRUCTURE PROCEDURES FOR STARTING AND CARRYING OUT THE INTERNSHIP During the academic year, the Internship Commission organizes meetings with all the students (who are going to carry out the internship during the academic year), explains them the meaning of the internship in their academic and professional career, the modalities of accomplishment, the role of the figures involved (in particular Academic tutor and Company supervisor) and the occupational areas where the internship experience can lead to. Subsequently, students can find the internship offers through the Materials section of the student’s portal, with detailed information on the company and any additional information on specific internships. NOTES FOR INTERNSHIP ABROAD If the student wishes to carry out an internship abroad, it is advisable to do so earlier than the institutional period of the internship because the agreement procedures may take longer and it may be necessary to submit additional documentation (e.g. visa). Students will have to check independently which documents are required according to the country where they want to do the internship. At the same time, for administrative procedures, they can refer to the page "internships abroad". Moreover, in the case of internship in Europe, it is possible to apply for the annual Call for Applications Erasmus + for Traineeship. INTERNSHIP ASSIGNMENT At the assignment meeting, approximately ten days after the list of available companies is sent and one month before the actual start of the internship, students will be selected according to meritocratic criteria (average, number of exams passed and number of years of enrolment on the Program) taking into account his/her personal preferences. Each student is assigned a score calculated by multiplying the number of credits of each passed exam by the grade obtained (for passed exams to which a grade is not given, the average grade of passed exams for which a grade was given instead is considered). The sum of these products will be divided by the number of semesters useful for examinations since the first matriculation. It should be noted that credits from exams passed in mobility subject to self-certification will be paid a grade in thirtieths equal to the weighted average of the exams already registered in the career. After the assignment, the Commission appoints an Academic Tutor for each internship, according to on the preferences of the student, relevancy of the teacher to the internship and an equitable assignment due to the study course. After this matching phase, the intern and the company are put in contact to carry out the introductory interview and get a definitive answer from the company regarding the start of the internship. In case of a successful interview, the student proceeds with the compilation of the Training Project (Progetto Formativo) on the portal, which is mandatory for the start of the internship; the online procedure will send a notification for approval first by the company tutor and then by the academic tutor. In case of a negative interview, the student will have to contact the Internship Coordination of the Course of Studies (tirocini.design@polito.it) with the list of possible new companies where he would like to go. BEGINNING OF THE INTERNSHIP After this phase, the student needs to fill out the online form on the Student Portal, called PROGETTO FORMATIVO (Training Project), which is a required procedure for the internship start. Then, the Timesheet is to be completed online in the STAGE section of the training project. SUPERVISION OF THE ACTIVITIES During the internship student or academic tutor may organize meetings between them and the company supervisor, aimed to verify the development and the progress of the internship, the results achieved and any possible problems. In cases a student wants to interrupt the Internship, he needs immediately to communicate this decision to “COORDINAMENTO STAGE (tirocini.design@polito.it)”, to his Academic Tutor and the Job Placement Office. END OF THE INTERNSHIP AND REGISTRATION At the end of the internship, to register it and to gain CFU, the student must: • Fill the online form called "Questionario di Valutazione Finale" (it can be found in the timesheet compilation section, or also in the upload attachments section at the end of the internship); • The company supervisor has to fill the online form called "Questionario Competenze Progetto Formativo." by clicking on the link that will be sent to him/her one week before the end of the internship; • Write a final dissertation (report/portfolio) where you summarize and describe your activities; according to the format indicated below, and upload it online in the attachments section at the end of the Progetto Formativo (Training Project) (the section appears when the timesheet is declared finished); • Upload online a copy of the signed Timesheet, in the attachments section at the end of the Progetto Formativo (Training Project). BOOK/Portfolio and REPORT The BOOK (A4 landscape format) should describe the professional internship experience through the production of drawings/pictures/picture captions. A logbook or portfolio of the activities performed designed freely both in content and visual language. While protecting the privacy of the company/body/study, it is not as important to show and evaluate the work done as it is to show the activities in which you were involved and the skills you acquired, not forgetting that the project also consists of meetings with clients or in project teams, stages of research, but also process management issues. The document should become an item to be attached to your cv and professional portfolio. Instead, the REPORT should describe your internship period in text form by dividing it into the following paragraphs: • "Cover," with data and indication of where and when the student did the internship; • "Where," brief presentation of the company/body/study, telling (in min 500 characters) the core business and structure of the company that hosted the internship; • "Activities performed", brief description (also in points) of the activities carried out during the internship (min 500 characters); • "Tasks and duties", a brief account of the tasks and duties assigned, any equipment provided or use of own resources (min. 500 characters); • "Knowledge", what skills and knowledge you acquired in the degree course you used during the internship (min. 500 characters); • "What I learnt": what the student learnt in this training period including both professional, methodological, practical activities, etc. but also behavioural and management activities (in min 500 characters). During the academic year, the person in charge of the internships (Prof. Silvia Barbero) periodically sets exams sessions (please check the section “Booking Exams”, It is necessary to book the reservation and show up in person) for the registration of the Internship; students will students will fill in a further survey.

Protecting the privacy of the organization/company/agency/studio it is not interesting to show and evaluate the work carried out but rather the activities in which you were involved and the skills acquired, not forgetting that the project also consists of meetings with clients or in project teams, research phases, but also process management issues. The document must become an element to be annexed to your CV and professional portfolio. The REPORT should describe your internship period in text form, articulated in the following paragraphs: - "Cover", with data and indication of where and when the student did the internship - "Where", a short presentation of the company/enterprise/study, telling (in min 500 characters) the core business and the structure of the company that hosted the student - Activities carried out", a short description (also by points) of the activities carried out during the internship (min. 500 characters) - Tasks and tasks", a brief account of the tasks and duties assigned, any equipment provided or use of own resources (min. 500 characters) - "Knowledge", what skills and knowledge you acquired in the degree course you used during the internship (min. 500 characters) - "What I learnt": what the student learnt in this training period including both professional, methodological, practical activities, etc. but also behavioural and management activities (in min 500 characters). During the academic year, the person in charge of the internships (prof. Paolo Tamborrini) periodically sets exams sessions (please check the section “Booking Exams”, It is necessary to book the reservation and show up in person) for the registration of the Internship; students will discuss the activity carried out with the book/portfolio and report that they uploaded on the website. It is recommended to have a digital copy of the documents mentioned above.

Gli studenti e le studentesse con disabilità o con Disturbi Specifici di Apprendimento (DSA), oltre alla segnalazione tramite procedura informatizzata, sono invitati a comunicare anche direttamente al/la docente titolare dell'insegnamento, con un preavviso non inferiore ad una settimana dall'avvio della sessione d'esame, gli strumenti compensativi concordati con l'Unità Special Needs, al fine di permettere al/la docente la declinazione più idonea in riferimento alla specifica tipologia di esame.

In addition to the message sent by the online system, students with disabilities or Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) are invited to directly inform the professor in charge of the course about the special arrangements for the exam that have been agreed with the Special Needs Unit. The professor has to be informed at least one week before the beginning of the examination session in order to provide students with the most suitable arrangements for each specific type of exam.
