This course is aimed at developing advanced competences in the design of reinforced concrete and fiber-reinforced concrete structures, also considering sustainability issues. According to the new requirements, the traditional models used to design and assess structural elements have to be modified by introducing both prescriptive and performance-based approaches. In addition to ultimate and serviceability limit states, a new sustainable limit state will be introduced in the design of stronger, more durable and sustainable structures and infrastructures.
